Franz Fendt is a narrative musician, playful actor and a living picture book.

He comes with instruments from all over the world. Some are so tiny, that they fit in his pocket. Among other things he brings a jaw harp from Vietnam, a Handpan from Switzerland, a Shrutibox from India and a Kalimba from South Africa.

With the most economical means he conjures melodies out of the moment.

With his voice he mimes sounds of nature and all kind of noises. In this way he performs a percussion-solo without having a drum set. One can listen also to sound patterns, inspired by the musical tradition of the Pygmy peoples.

His singing connects with short stories, dancing and amusing rituals. His music is an exploration of the wonderful possibilities of improvisation and a declaration of love for the soul of foreign cultures. The result is a mixture of popular, archetypal and…
